Kuldeep Yadav Took His 3rd Five Wicket Haul in Ind vs Ban Test

Kuldeep Yadav, the Indian leg-spinner, returned to the Indian Test team with a bang, taking five wickets in Bangladesh’s first innings. The left-arm spinner returned to action after an absence of about two years and concluded with statistics of 5/40 off of 16 overs. An incredible bowling performance by Kuldeep has given India the upper hand.

With the old ball, Kuldeep totally flummoxed the Bangladeshi middle order. Both Mushfiqur Rahim and Shakib al Hasan were dismissed by the bowler. The wicketkeeper/batsman duo of Nurul Hasan and Taijul Islam were caught in the web created by the left-arm spinner. After more than a year, Kuldeep still didn’t seem to be bowling with the red cherry.

Kuldeep Yadav Comeback After 22 Months

As seen by his return to the Test side after a hiatus of 22 months, Kuldeep is clearly committed to making a comeback. To a large extent due to his dogged inning and four-wicket haul, Bangladesh only managed to reach 133 for eight before stumps on day two of the first Test in Chittagong.

Yadav’s High ‘Fives’ Haul

Kuldeep bowled two wickets before any off-pitch activity. The first ball from Kuldeep Yadav drew Shakib Al Hasan out of his crease, and the ball drifted in substantially to make him cover his face while defending in front of the body. When Shakib moved, the ball flew outside the leg stump. Mushfiqur Rahim saw a very full ball and didn’t need to push forward. The drift and dip again separated his bat from the ball. The ball turned past the bat and caught him on the crease.

The ball spun swiftly, forcing Nurul Hasan to play when he might have let it strike the pad. Apart from the drift that took Nurul over, that wicket should have pleased Kuldeep. The fourth was a massive wanker to a lower-order hitter, emphasizing Kuldeep’s tail-end bowling. Kuldeep Yadav informed the host that he loved receiving appropriate turns. His “a bit” faster work was helping him.
