On Monday, Paramount Pictures released a clip in which Tom and his colleagues discuss the months they spent planning this hoax. There is a pursuit scenario, and the action hero has to leap over a cliff on his motorbike. He says, “This is a by far the most perilous thing we’ve ever undertaken,” and anything they’re putting up is for the viewers.

In the next minutes of the clip, viewers will see Tom putting the finishing touches on the set. ‘Be confident’, he adds with a grin for the camera. The Hollywood celebrity can master the rope skills with a simple click, according to the base jumping instructor. “Whatever you tell him, he memorizes it.” The actor, he continues, is a highly ‘alert’ guy since he can so casually dive from a moving aircraft.

The team continues by explaining how they practiced every part of the stunt and would sometimes do as many as 30 jumps in a single day. The numbers added up to over 13,000 motocross jumps and 500 skydivers. They employed technology to construct a stable base, guaranteeing that the leap would be filmed accurately. The trainer emphasizes that if the act fails, it might result in significant damage or even death.
The cast and crew applaud and celebrate as Tom Cruise pulls off the daring manoeuvre at the very end. He adds his appreciation for the team’s outstanding performance. Not quite satisfied, he adds that he may have waited too long before releasing the bike. Tom reportedly fell off the motorcycle six times in one day, making it the most dangerous day of filming in history. Tom pulls a funny face while putting on the parachute, and the crew can be seen laughing it off.
