The RRB exam 2022-23 or Railway Recruitment Board Exam for recruitment in Indian Railways are broadly categorized in 4 sections of exams namely, a) Non-technical popular categories or NTPC exam b) Junior Engineer or JE exam c) Assistant Loco Pilot or ALP exam d) Group D or RRC Level 1 exam apart from the paramedical, ministerial and Isolated categories. The recruitment happens as and when the Railway Recruitment Board notifications for recruitment.
Examination Stages for RRB Exam 2022-23
The examination patterns vary depending on the recruitment categories:
For Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC): - The examination pattern consists of 2 computer based exam stages followed by Typing skill test and Medical Examination along with General Awareness, Maths and Reasoning conducted at a PAN-India level. The total duration of the exam is of 90 minutes with negative marking of 33% for every wrong answer and 1 (One) mark credit for every correct answer. Based on the subjects, the examination is divided into 2 categories, CBT 1 and CBT 2.
- CBT 1 :- General Awareness, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning ( 100 marks)
- CBT 2 :- General Questions Awareness, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning ( 200 marks).
Eligibility Requirements for RRB Exam 2022-23
The eligibility requirements for RRB Exam 2022-23 vary according to the positions broadly classified in 2 categories
- Undergraduate posts: - Candidates need to be between 18-30 years of age and must have secured pass marks in 10+2 examinations from a recognized State or Central board of Education.
- Graduate Posts: - Candidates need to be between 18-33 years of age and should have been a Graduate from a recognized University.

- Candidates need to visit the RRB website and select the particular Railway section.
- Enter the personal details after clicking on New Registration.
- After filling up all the details, the candidates need to pay the application fees online to complete the process.
