Randy Orton, the WWE legend may retire due to a serious injury sustained by him as confirmed by his family sources. The news came to light when Randy Orton’s father revealed the news in a media interaction. Randy has been out of the ring for the last year after losing the WWE Tag Team Title unification in May 2022. Sources confirm that he has undergone back surgery as he was facing a back injury which has put his career at risk leading to permanent retirement.

Randy’s father Bob Orton has updated the media in an interaction that the injury sustained by the legend might be too serious and can eventually lead to a permanent retirement. As reported by Times Now News, Bob Orton spoke to Wrestle Binge’s legendary wrestling journalist Bill Apter about Randy Orton’s health and comeback, saying, “He’s training, so we’ll see what happens. I don’t know if he feels like going back or if he feels like he’s ready to go back. I think he might. Then again, he’s pretty well taken care of, I don’t think he needs to and I think the doctors have told him not to. But Randy will do what Randy is gonna do.”
The news and media sources confirm that WWE is planning for a mega event of Night of Champions to be held by the end of the current month. The details of the event that are currently emerging point towards the fact that it would be a pay-per-view event and will be held in Saudi Arabia on 27th May 2023.
