Oscar nominee and infamous actor, Michael Lerner of the “Barton Fink” and “Elf” fame, leaves for his heavenly abode as per media reports. The Breaking news was revealed by his nephew, Sam in a social media post who confirms that the actor passed away on Saturday, 8th April 2023. However, no further details including the cause of death or any other related information are yet to be made public by the concerned authorities or family members.
Death of Michael Lerner – The End of an Era
As confirmed by his nephew on the social media site Instagram, the infamous actor breathed his last on Saturday, 8th April 2023. Sam quoted, “We lost a legend last night. It’s hard to put into words how brilliant my uncle Michael was, and how influential he was to me. His stories always inspired me and made me fall in love with acting.”
Sam further added, “He was the coolest, most confidence, most talented guy and the fact that he was my blood will always make me feel special. Everyone that knows him knows how insane he was— in the best way. I’m so lucky I got to spend so much time with him, and we’re all lucky we can continue to watch his work for the rest of time.”
Michael Lerner was an actor who had quite a few notable accomplishments under his belt which, apart from “Barton Fink” and “Elf” does include X-Men: Days of Future Past, Glee, and Godzilla as well.
Michael Lerner – Life and times
Michael Lerner had taken up acting as his profession and had completed his formal education in the same from Brooklyn College and has also received a scholarship to study at the University of California in Berkeley. He also studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art after he received a Fulbright scholarship, where he happened to study theatre. During his time in England, he shared a flat with Japanese actor Yoko Ono and English actor John Lennon. According to reports, he collected rare books, enjoyed playing poker, and was a Cuban cigars enthusiast.
Michael Lerner was born in Brooklyn, New York on 22nd June 1941 and was of 81 years when he passed away last Saturday. Condolences for the late actor have flooded the social media after the news broke.
