Michael Jackson biopic is being made for the first time with the late singer’s nephew Jafaar Jackson playing the lead role. Jafaar Jackson happens to be the second-youngest son of the lyricist Jermaine Jackson and a member of the celebrities family band Jackson 5. Jaafar also happens to be a singer by profession. The singer took to the micro-blogging platform Twitter after the news went viral saying, “I’m humbled and honored to bring my Uncle Michael’s story to life. To all the fans all over the world, I’ll see you soon.”

Director Antoine Fuqua, who has quite a few smashing action thrillers under his belt like “Equalizer” and “Training Day” played by Denzel Washington is set to direct the biopic and had chosen the late legend’s nephew in the lead role, who also happens to be a singer by profession. The movie titled “Michael”, is said to be produced by Graham King of the “Bohemian Rhapsody” fame, which had earned actor Rami Malek the Academy Award for the Best Actor in a lead role.
Life and times of the actor to be portrayed
The script for the Michael Jackson biopic movie has been written by John Logan, who had also penned the screenplay of the movie “ Skyfall”, an espionage thriller of the James Bond franchise. A few other accomplished works of the writer also include screenplays of acclaimed movies like “The Gladiator” and “The Aviator” as well. The movie is set to portray the life of the Pop King Michael Jackson including glimpses of his best performances like Beat It, Thriller, Black Or White, Smooth Criminal, Billy Jean, etc. Michael Jackson, who happens to be a solo artist of epic proportions rose to fame as a child while being a part of the family group Jackson 5 and is considered to be one of the greatest entertainers of all time.
