Interstate 15 accident involving 3 vehicles kills 2 including an infant near Fallbrook, California on Sunday afternoon. The accident involved 3 cars and the crash is said to have happened on the south of the mission road and north of State Route 76. As per the California Highway Patrol, one vehicle is reported to have overturned.
Interstate 15 accident – The fatalities
According to North County Fire Protection Captain John Choi, the breaking news is two fatalities including one adult and one infant. No details are available yet on the age, gender, relationship between the two and what vehicle they were in. As per the Captain, one of the four victims happened to have sustained major injuries, however, all of them are currently admitted to the hospital for treatment.
However, the sources from Bonsall confirm that an adult and an infant were declared dead in a three- vehicle traffic collision Sunday on southbound Interstate 15 south of state Route 76. The 3 vehicles involved in the accident include a white Tesla and a black sedan along with another pick-up truck as per the California Highway Patrol in the Interstate 15 accident.
The pickup overturned and landed on its roof and the black sedan was smoking, per the CHP. The cause of the crash was under investigation. One southbound lane opened just north of SR-76 around 5:30 p.m., a little over two hours after the crash, according to CalTrans. The ages and genders of the deceased were not immediately released, said Capt. John Choi of the North County Fire Protection District.
Interstate 15 accident – Local Helpline
The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office was called to the scene at 3:37 p.m., the CHP reported. It was unclear which vehicle or vehicles the deceased had been in.
The rescuing authorities and the State Administration have provided a helpline number where any witnesses or drivers with dash cam of the collision are asked to contact Traffic Services at 416-808-1900.
