The match played between Men in Blue vs the Tigers (India vs Bangladesh) on the 4th of December was not something that the fans of Indian Cricket were really looking forward to. The Indian Cricket Team was not able to perform as per expectations and win its first of 3 ODI cricket matches against Bangladesh. Bangladesh emerged winner in the first match with 1 wicket. If we analyse the game closely, batting first, India set a target of 187 runs in the first inning. And as is obvious, the score was definitely not satisfactory. During the IND vs BAN match the Bangladeshi squad, while chasing the target, also faltered. However, the last-wicket partnership of 51 runs between Mehdi Hasan Miraj & Mustafizur Rahman gave the game a whole new dimension.
Not only did this victory put Bangladesh ahead 1-0 in the three-match series of India vs Bangladesh, it also reaffirmed their capabilities as a team that can give people a run for their money. This victory will give a boost to the team’s morale helping them to prepare for the One-Day International World Cup that will start in India next year.
India vs Bangladesh: What Captain Sharma Said?
After the Indian Cricket squad’s defeat by Bangladesh in a low-scoring match by one wicket, the captain Rohit Sharma didn’t sugar-coat the reality. He said that the team needs to show significant developments in their batting ability. These improvements will immensely help them to deal with spinners on a sticky surface. Quoting the captain: -
“The pitch was a bit challenging; the odd ball was turning. You have to understand how to play. There are no excuses, we are used to such types of conditions,” Rohit stated this at the post-match presentation.
When and Where Will The Second Match Be Played?
