Freddy movie review, as per critics, is a psychological thriller depicting the dark aspects of the human character arising out of love and longing and eventually leading the course to revenge. The movie is a psychological thriller of sorts which has its share of twists and turns to keep the audience engaged. It is directed by Shashanka Ghosh with Kartik Aaryan and Alaya F in the lead roles. It is one of those off-beat movies that doesn’t send morality messages overtly, but a more realistic approach is seen where right and wrong are not the opposite sides of the spectrum , but a thin line that separates the two and also difficult to separate from one another.
Storyline
Kartik Aaryan plays a dentist whose life is devoid of any kind of entertainment as he goes about pursuing his profession as a routine. However, he has a comfortable life who is in his 30’s and has earned the reputation of being a good dentist. However, with a life devoid of parents, companions or girls, even though he is professionally successful, other aspects of life render him as a loser and he spends his days longing for company. Things take an ugly turn as when he gets beaten up by the husband of a woman, with whom he falls in love the very second he catches a glimpse of her. What unfolds in the aftermath is the darkness of mind that treads the fine line between good and bad.

Psychological thrillers like Freddy movie review, as per critics, have predominantly been a rare find in the Hindi film industry. Hence, the pursuit of the directors in comparatively unexplored territories is undoubtedly a bold move. The narrative has been able to do justice to the genre with its unexpected twists and turns which does keep the audience glued to their seats. However, predictability takes over in the latter half as the plot unfolds which includes the climax as well. Having said that, the performance of the lead actors deserves a huge round of applause and Kartik Aaryan as an actor does catch the audience’s liking and makes his way to their afterthoughts.
