A “near catastrophic” car chase for Prince Harry and Meghan by the paparazzo leaves the royal couple distraught. The incident took place on Tuesday night in the city of New York as the royal couple were riding in a taxi, while they were trying to avoid the photographers. The ordeal has been reported by the concerned taxi driver of Indian origin, Sukhcharn Singh who also goes by the name Sonny.
A catastrophic avoidance for Prince Harry and Meghan
Running away to evade the shutter bucks or paparazzo is quite a common feature around the world, but risking lives in the process happens rarely. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle however went through such a testing time in their 10-minute taxi ride, which ironically was driven by a person of Indian origin, Sukcharn Singh or Sunny.
as per the latest news, the taxi driver confirmed that he picked up the Royal couple from a local police precinct in Midtown Manhattan. “I was on 67th Street and then the security guard hailed me. Next thing you know, Prince Harry and his wife were hopping into my cab. We got blocked by a garbage truck, and all of a sudden paparazzi came and started taking pictures.” They were about to share their destination when the security guard made the call to return to the police precinct.
The driver also confirms, “They looked nervous, I think they were being chased the whole day or something,” Mr. Singh said. “They were pretty nervous, but the security guard, he was on it.”
However undermined the incident may be, as far as the taxi driver is concerned, the Spokesman for Prince Harry and his wife labeled the entire incident as something of catastrophic proportions. The local law enforcement authorities confirmed that it was a challenge for them to handle the traffic with numerous photographers being involved in the ordeal. The couple had been to an Award function in New York, the Ms. Foundation Women of Vision Awards - along with Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland.
